Litigation and Dispute Resolution

We represent clients in civil, commercial and criminal matters in the Magistrates' Courts, the Small Claims Court, the High Court and specialised tribunals, including SACCO disputes before the Co-operative Tribunal, and in banking disputes. We act in criminal defence, including bail applications and plea, and in personal injury and accident claims, including work injury claims. We file and respond to appeals, judicial review applications and constitutional petitions. Where suitable, we advise on and represent clients in arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Land, Property and Tenancy

We act in land transfers, sales and purchases, leases and charges, and carry out due diligence before a transaction, including official searches and checks on title and consents. We advise landlords and tenants on leases, rent, rent disputes and lawful eviction. We also advise on land disputes and represent clients before the Environment and Land Court.

Succession, Wills and Trusts

We help clients prepare wills and set up trusts to provide for their families and property. We assist families to apply for grants of probate and letters of administration, whether or not the deceased left a will, and guide administrators through confirmation of the grant and distribution of the estate. We also advise on and represent clients in disputes over estates.

Employment and Labour

We advise employers and employees on employment contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary processes and termination. We represent clients in claims before the Employment and Labour Relations Court.

Family Law

We advise on divorce, separation, child custody and maintenance, and the division of matrimonial property. We handle these matters with care and discretion.

Corporate, Commercial and Tax

We assist with company incorporation, business registration, company secretarial work, compliance and restructuring, and the registration and governance of NGOs, churches and other associations. We draft and review contracts and agreements, including shareholder and partnership agreements, and advise on data protection and privacy compliance and the registration of trade marks. We also give tax advice and act in disputes with the Kenya Revenue Authority, including objections and appeals before the Tax Appeals Tribunal.

Debt Recovery and Insolvency

We help individuals and businesses recover money owed to them through demand letters, negotiated repayment plans and, where necessary, court proceedings and execution of judgments. We also advise creditors and debtors on insolvency matters, including bankruptcy, liquidation and administration.

Immigration and Personal Documents

We assist individuals and employers with applications for work permits, residence and dependant passes, visas and citizenship. As Commissioners for Oaths, we administer oaths, commission affidavits and statutory declarations, and certify copies of documents. We also prepare and register deeds poll for change of name.
